Description of duties on the project
On 'The Half-Blood Prince' I was responsible for the organization and structure of the majority of the in game content. I created in game animations both new and legacy from Order of the Phoenix. I worked closely with the animation programmers to make the systems as efficient as possible on EA's largest ever skew release.

During the course of the project a decision was made in the latter half that we should move across to Motion/Performance Capture to bring a more realistic feel to the characters. In the crossover period I was instrumental in creating the animation pipeline as well as establishing new procedures and learning MotionBuilder with no previous knowledge.

I had valuable information for the team’s first Motion Capture shoot (due to previous experience in this field) which enabled us to have a number of extremely productive shoots averaging about 100 moves a day. I even took to the suit in order to capture the broom flying animations on a custom built rig. This choice was basically down to my in depth knowledge of how the animations would be constructed back in the engine and resulted again in a good clean set of data that I processed and migrated into the game engine via our in house tools.
